The children have been working on painting penguins and fact finding about penguins.

The children have been busy this week carrying on with our bird spotting and exploring penguins and ice.

The children started the week by painting a penguin for our display in the hall and classroom. The children named the different parts of the penguin and what 2d shapes the parts of the penguin looked like.

In our tuff spot we added ice with a difference; there were ‘ice egg penguins’ for the children to ‘hatch’, ice blocks and ice made in the shape of balloons.

We also added snow to our tuff spot and the children explored and experimented with the ice and the animals as well.

Please can you remember to have the children’s book bags in school on a Wednesday with their books in their bag ready to change on a Thursday.  The children are really enjoying going to the school library.  The children get the opportunity to talk about the book they have chosen and who they have shared the book with.

Thank you for your continuing support.
