You may be aware that there have been ongoing problems with the school flat roof above the hall and we have had a number of leaks over the past few years when there has been very heavy rain.
This is obviously something that we need to get sorted out as soon as possible but it will be a very costly project. Fortunately, we have just been informed that the council have managed to find funds to support this project and the flat roof is going to be completely resurfaced.
Work is going to commence as soon as possible and it may take up to five weeks. It is planned that scaffolding will be erected at the front of the school next week, in the area by the bike sheds and there will also be a portakabin for the contractors in this area. This area will be securely fenced off which will mean that visitors to school who are parking on site will have to turn left as they come out of the car park and walk alongside the yellow fence to join the pedestrian path into school.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we hope the work will be finished by the middle of March.
