  • Sports Relief - Newsletter

    Dear Parents/Carers,

We will be doing our bit to support Sport Relief next week on Friday 23rd March. The children are invited to come into school in ‘non uniform’ and wear sports outfits for the day. We will start the day with an assembly focusing on the fabulous work Sport Relief facilitates around the world.

As a donation, we ask that all the children bring into school any small change/coins – any little bit helps. Throughout the day they will have the opportunity to make a GIANT COIN SWIRL.  This money will then be donated to Sport Relief.

    Kind Regards,

    Mrs L Taylor

  • Imagineerium Trip Letter

    Dear Parents,

Yesterday you received a letter regarding ‘The Imagineerium Initiative ‘– an imaginative cross-curricular project being developed by Imagineer Productions, The University of Warwick and a range of city partners.

As part of this, your children have been invited to try out being ‘young imagineers’: to imagine and create designs for marvellous, moving, mechanical machines. They will work alongside artists, designers, scientists and engineers, to imagine, design and create moving objects.

On Friday 23rd March, we have been invited down to the ‘Imagineerium’, which is a Unit on Sandy Lane, Coventry, as an introduction to the project. We will be travelling there by coach, leaving school at 9:15 and will arriving back to Charter Primary before the end of the school day.

If your child receives free school meals, school will provide a packed lunch for the visit, however if you pay for your lunches, please provide your own packed lunch for the day and your weekly bill will be adjusted. It would be much easier if all children brought a lunch in a carrier bag so they can throw away any packaging after lunch time, rather than carrying around a lunch box and possibly leaving it at the venue.

Please return the permission slip to Miss Lee

Many thanks Miss C Lee Year 5 Teacher
