Attendance News Letter
Charter's target for attendance is at least 96% - this is for the whole school and for every child. Good attendance is vital for a good education. We view regular attendance as an essential part of a child's academic and social success.
Currently, the whole school figure to date (for this academic year 2017-2018) is 92.8%. This falls short of our expectations and as a result we are launching a whole school drive to raise this figure. A key part of this drive is promoting and rewarding good attendance.
Between tomorrow — Wednesday 7th February — and the end of the school year we want every child to reach the Charter attendance target of at least 96%. Every child who reaches this target will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Smyths Toys shopping trip! Children who achieve 100% attendance over this time will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Smyths Toys shopping trip!
In addition to the above we will be running other incentives and rewards throughout the year to promote and acknowledge good attendance so look out for further information coming soon...
If you are experiencing any barriers around attendance e.g. a family problem or something at school bothering your child then we can help with advice and support so please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher or one us if you would like help.
Please help us to give your child the very best education possible by ensuring they attend school every day and on time!
Together, we can smash attendance... Thank you for your support and good luck to all of the children in the prize draw.
