Trip 5th June- 9th June 2017

I would like to confirm the following details for the trip to France.

Pick up times

The coach will arrive at the following times. Please ensure you are on time.

8:00am - Charter Primary School

9:00am- Wyken Croft Primary School. Please come straight into the studio.

When you arrive at school your child will be asked to hand in two purses/wallets. One should contain English money and one should contain Euros- please ensure both are named.

If your child needs medication at anytime during our trip, including travel sickness medication, you will need to give them to the school office by Wednesday 24th May at the latest. If medication is given to us on the morning of the trip it will delay our departure. All medication must be placed in a named bag with a completed medical form  (attached with this letter for your convenience).  Please ensure you write precise instructions on the form so we can administer the medication correctly.  If your child needs to use an inhaler, it would be preferable to have two available for use.

Luggage/Packed tea

Please send your child with a packed tea, including a drink, on the first day in a disposable bag. We will stop on the journey for a drink and a snack, lunch at a service station and then a packed tea. If your child wishes to bring a book to read, small board games (pocket-sized), notepad and pens etc for use on the bus, they may do so. It would be helpful if children had a small rucksack for the coach as their case will be in the luggage store underneath.

Your child will be able to take souvenir money, and we suggest a maximum of 70€ (in 5 and 10 € notes please) as the cost of souvenirs at Euro Disney can be rather expensive.  The children will need to have their Euros in a clearly labelled purse or wallet. Please make sure the children have a maximum of £15 English money with them in a purse or wallet to buy their lunch on the journey there and then their tea on our journey home.

Attached is a kit list of items that your child will need to bring with them. All children must take a watch with them. Children may bring cameras but school cannot take responsibility for them.  Please do not allow your child to bring I-pod’s or small games consoles, or anything else valuable or electrical.  Mobile phones are strictly forbidden

European Health Card

Your child will need to have a European Health Card for the trip to France. They are free of charge so if your child doesn’t already have one, please follow the link below to apply for one. If you haven’t already given it to the school office then please do so ASAP.

Please could I remind you that any outstanding payments must be paid ASAP.

The children arrive back on Friday 9th June at approximately 20:00 and need to be collected. Please check Twitter/ our school website for regular updates on arrival times.

We will be regularly updating the school’s Twitter feed which you can access from our school website even if you do not have a twitter account.

Please complete and return the slip below to confirm that you have received this letter.

Please note that on the day of departure your child must have with them a packed lunch and a snack for the journey.  The packed lunch must be disposable (no lunch boxes or glass bottles please).

Girls may want to bring hairdryers etc, but please send an electrical adaptor to enable them to be used in France.  It is important that girls are able to do their own hair in preparation for the trip.

Mobile phones, electronic/computer games, jewellery/valuables etc.

Please label everything your child brings – indelible felt tip pens are useful for this.  Pupils are responsible for their own belongings – it may be useful to provide a list of items packed.  Lost property is hard to track down after a

visit and there is a small charge for returning items.
