Headteachers Letter September 2016
Welcome back to a new school year! It promises to be an exciting one.
I’m writing to you very early so that you have this information before the “rest of the world!” At Easter next year, I am leaving my post as headteacher of Wyken Croft and adverts for my successor will be appearing this week.
It’s been a difficult decision, but having been both Head at Wyken for what will be over 14 years and also Executive Head of the Federation for over 4 years, I’ve decided to reduce my working week to 3 days and focus on the job of Executive Head.
I’ve enjoyed immensely – and will continue to enjoy – being Head of Wyken Croft and I know that when next Easter comes it will be both a difficult and emotional time. I can also assure you that I will give my successor all the support they want.
Now, having dealt with that, let’s get on with the year ahead and make it truly special for our children, staff and families!
