Welcome from our Headteacher
Welcome to Charter Primary School. I am delighted and proud to be Headteacher at such a happy and vibrant school where pupils, staff, governors, parents and the school community work extremely hard and have high expectations of one another. We are committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning – achieved through a combination of challenge, support, encouragement, praise and fun – to ensure that all students fulfill their potential. Our children are happy and behaviour is of the highest standard. Our staff are lively, well qualified and enthusiastic. They are totally committed to giving your children the very best education they can.
At Charter Primary you will find a welcoming and purposeful environment, with relationships built on mutual respect. Our supportive pastoral systems help all pupils achieve to their potential and develop a strong sense of responsibility for themselves, their peers and the wider world. Charter pupils develop skills for lifelong learning. Achievement and a 'can do' attitude are at the heart of our philosophy; we support this through nurturing pupils’ creativity, encouraging independent thinking and learning and showing that mistakes can be a learning opportunity.
Our school is proud to be a member of the Phoenix Federation jointly with Wyken Primary School. We are a forward-thinking school and through our joint work with Wyken Primary, within the Phoenix Federation, we are passionate about making a difference to the lives of our children. They are at the heart of everything we do and we strive to inspire all learners.
Thank you for visiting our school website, we hope you enjoy exploring it and finding out about our wonderful school. If you would like to visit Charter Primary, please contact the office and arrange an appointment. I would welcome the opportunity to show you around our lovely school.
